This book is a thorough examination of parrot psychology, human psychology, their interactions, and how to train your parrot. Many topics are covered, including choosing a parrot, how to get started, dealing with baby parrots, adult parrots, neglected parrots,etc. The title makes it sound like a training book, and it does cover step-by-step directions on teaching tricks etc, but this book also provides wonderful insight into human/parrot motivations and needs that will make your lifelong relationship with your parrot more meaningful.
