Diet Day 18
I'm finally back down a pound, and I sure hope it will stay off this time--I'm half afraid to make this post in case it angers Gordo, the demigod of Lard, and he reinstalls it firmly on my thighs in retribution. Maybe that's a little paranoid, but this diet business is fairly difficult.

I went to buy a business suit yesterday and received several reminders of why I want to lose weight. Most of the suits were way too tight across the chest, and when I found some that fit chest and shoulders, they were huge in the waist and hung straight down from the bustline like a lampshade, with a big gap between the bottom of the blazer and my actual midsection. The blazers also tend to be too short; they make them the same length in size 16 as in size 4, which doesn't account for the fact that size 16 chicks tend to have some 3-D features on the front side. Grrr. I will have to make do with my business wardrobe as-is for a while, and then try to shop again when I'm smaller.

Today I will continue to be faithful to the diet so I can keep that little pound o' flesh from re-establishing itself--after all, it's not paying rent yet.

Diet Day 16
Argh!! I regained the pound I finally lost last week, and the scale's needle hasn't moved for days!!! I am being very good on the diet: no wine, low carbs, exercising, but it seems I can't get going again.

I really have got to shake a couple of pounds by Monday, or I am not going to make the March 11 goal of 20 lbs lost. Especially considering that I will be traveling on business next week--always a major diet challenge.

This is getting frustrating, but I'm going to stick to it...stay tuned


Summary: Delta pounds = -7, exercise = 30 min
