Diet, Day 11
Well, I am finally down another pound. That little sucker must have been firmly installed! I suppose I'm experiencing the normal slow-down following the usual fast start. Hopefully I can still peel off 2 lbs per week.

I have to be good and not splurge over the weekend though, to make sure I'm either even or have lost more by Tuesday's weigh-in. (I won't be at work on Monday.)

Summary: Delta pounds = -8 Exercise =30 Min

Diet Day 8
Down another pound! I know some diet experts say you shouldn't weigh every day, but this is actually helping me stay focused. I have 13 more to lose before the "official" March 11 weigh-in, and at this rate, it certainly looks like I'll make it. Of course, I won't be loosing at this rate for long; the lower you go, the harder it is to get each pound off.

I already feel better physically though, so I have the enthusiasm to keep going. Let's hope it lasts!

Summary: Delta pounds: -7 Exercise: 30 min Nordic Track

Diet Day 7
I lost 2 pounds over the weekend, so things are going pretty well (despite the rum & colas I consumed on Sunday!). I've taken about an inch each off my waist, bust, and hips, so I suppose I should start to feel my clothes loosening as well.

I know I can't expect to loose another 6 pounds this week, but hopefully I can work off another 2 or 3. I still have to get rid of 14 more in the next 9 weeks if I'm going to get my share of the office wager back. That'll be March 11, and then I will try to stabilize at the "new" weight for a few weeks before resuming heavy dieting to get off the next 20 lbs or so. It's a long way to go, but I figure 2005 might as well be the year to do it!

Summary: Total lost so far: 6 pounds.

Diet Day 6
The first weekend of the diet has been a bit of a struggle. It's easy to make excuses for not exercising, but I got up and did my Nordic Tracking on Saturday and Sunday, and I felt better afterwards. I always know I'll feel better after exercising, but somehow it's still hard to get up and do it!!

I had rotisserie chicken and steak medallions on Saturday, and leftovers today, so I can't claim to be suffering too much on the Atkins diet! Only problem is that my husband baked fresh bread, and I have to limit my enjoyment of the bread to inhaling its scent. Not quite as satisfying!

Tonight I'll put my willpower to the test when I play cards at a friend's house. I'm bringing my own Diet Rite soda, and I'll stick to the Atkins-friendly foods like cheese and meat.

We'll see how I did when I weigh in tomorrow...
